LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) -- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to headline a remake of the cult-classic movie Big Trouble in Little China.

The Wrap reported Johnson wants to star in and produce the reboot because the original 1986 Kurt Russell flick is one of his favorite films.

The entertainment news website said 20th Century Fox did not immediately respond to its request for a comment on the story.

Johnson recently starred in the back-to-back hits Furious 7 and San Andreas.
