'Fifty Shades' followups get release dates for 2017 and 2018

LOS ANGELES, April 23 (UPI) -- Universal Pictures has announced the release dates for the two planned sequels to its erotic blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey.

"The Fantasy Continues: #FiftyShadesDarker will be released on 2/10/17 and #FiftyShadesFreed on 2/9/18," the studio tweeted Thursday.

Based on the books by E.L. James, the franchise stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.
