Tim Curry had stroke last July, says agent

LOS ANGELES, May 24 (UPI) -- Tim Curry's agent told USA Today the British actor suffered a stroke in July but is now doing "very well."

Multiple media outlets quoted a British newspaper Friday as saying the stroke happened Thursday night at Curry's Los Angeles home.

However, Curry's agent Marcia Hurwitz told USA Today the stroke happened "last July."

"He has been going to physical therapy, doing very well and in great humor. He thanks everyone for sending him good wishes," Hurwitz said.

Curry, 67, is known for his work in the films "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Legend" and "The Three Musketeers." He also starred on Broadway in "Spamalot."
