LOS ANGELES, May 14 (UPI) -- Jaden Smith, the 14-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, will remain under the Hollywood couple's guardianship for the foreseeable future, E! News said.

The entertainment news outlet shot down a report in the British tabloid The Sun, claiming Jaden wants to be legally emancipated from his parents when he turns 15 this summer, so he can "have his own place."

E! News said the story is false and Jaden is expected to continue living at home with his parents.

Will and Jaden will soon be seen in the sci-fi film "After Earth."
