'Godzilla' starts shooting in Vancouver; scheduled to open in May 2014

BURBANK, Calif., March 19 (UPI) -- Principal photography on "Godzilla" has begun in Vancouver, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced.

Set to open May 16, 2014, the 3-D film will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.

Gareth Edwards is directing the monster movie from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham.
