PROVIDENCE, R.I., March 7 (UPI) -- British actress and model Emma Watson says she is planning to take a break from her studies at Rhode Island's Brown University to concentrate on her career.

Watson, 20, is best known for her work in the Harry Potter film franchise. The eighth and final installment in the series is due out this summer.

"As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible," Watson said in a posting on her Web site Monday.

"I've decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter ... and to focus on my other professional and acting projects," she said. "I will still be working towards my degree ... it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought."
