'Riverdale' star KJ Apa is a new dad

Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Riverdale star KJ Apa and his girlfriend, Clara Berry, have welcomed their first child.

Berry announced Sunday on Instagram that she gave birth to a son, Sasha Vai Keneti, with Apa on Sept. 23.

Berry shared the news alongside a photo of her baby boy holding onto her finger.

"Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, born on the 23rd of September. He is a perfect perfection. I am the luckiest to have now two men of my life, filling my heart with this cosmic gigantic vast love," she captioned the post.

Apa's Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Vanessa Morgan were among those to congratulate the couple in the comments.

"Can't wait to meet him congratulations," Reinhart wrote.

"River's new bestie!! #boymom," Morgan, who gave birth to her son River in January, said.

Apa and Berry were first linked in August 2020. Apa confirmed Berry's pregnancy in May by sharing a photo of himself with Berry that showed the model's baby bump.

Apa plays Archie Andrews on Riverdale, which will return for a sixth season on The CW in November. The series co-stars Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse and Madelaine Petsch.
