June 6 (UPI) -- Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is returning to Broadway to star in an adaptation of the 2012 book The Lifespan of a Fact. Radcliffe will star alongside Cherry Jones and Bobby Cannavale in the play directed by Leigh Silverman and written by Broadway newcomers Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell and Gordon Farrell. Jeffrey Richards, Deanna Twain and Will Trice are producing.

The Lifespan of a Fact, written by John D'Agata and Jim Fingal, follows the real-life controversy surrounding D'Agata's essay about a teenager who committed suicide that was fact-checked by Fingal. The story raises questions about whether or not facts can be changed in an essay.
Radcliffe is set to portray Fingal with Cannavale as D'Agata and Jones as Fingal's boss.
The play will be performed at Studio 54 from Sept. 20 to Oct. 18.
Radcliffe has previously appeared in Broadway productions The Cripple of Inishmaan, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Equus. He also starred in the off-Broadway production of Privacy.
