Chanel Iman expecting first child: 'Can't wait to meet you'

May 14 (UPI) -- Chanel Iman is going to be a first-time mom.

The 27-year-old model announced in an Instagram post Sunday on Mother's Day that she's expecting a baby with her husband, NFL player Sterling Shepard.

Iman shared a series of photos from her maternity shoot with photographer James Macari, including a picture of her growing baby bump.

"Daddy and Mommy can't wait to meet you. As I approach motherhood I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and mommies to be @sterl_shep3 [photo by] @jamesmacari," she captioned the snapshot.

The former Victoria's Secret model also posted a pair of photos with Shepard, a wide receiver for the New York Giants.

"We both are blessed in many different ways, that our love has created a wonderful new life and can't wait for this ultimate blessing to arrive. We thank God for allowing us this opportunity to become parents and we can't wait to hold our baby in our arms!" she wrote.

Iman and Shepard married in Los Angeles in March with Jourdan Dunn, Odell Beckham, Jr., Chrissy Teigen and other celebrities in attendance. Iman later said her wedding was the "most magical day" of her life.
