Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Golden Globe Awards winner Ewan McGregor thanked his estranged wife and his rumored girlfriend in his acceptance speech.
The 46-year-old Scottish actor expressed his gratitude to both Eve Mavrakis and Mary Elizabeth Winstead after taking home Best Actor in a Limited Series at the Golden Globes ceremony Sunday in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"I want to take a moment to thank Eve, who always stood by me for 22 years and my four children, I love you," he said.
McGregor played Emmit and Ray Stussy in Fargo alongside Winstead as Ray's fiancée, Nikki Swango. The actor gave a shout-out to Winstead and their co-stars David Thewlis, Michael Stuhlbarg and Carrie Coon in his speech.
"There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead so thank you very much," he said of the 33-year-old actress.
McGregor walked the awards show red carpet solo. The actor was first linked to Winstead in October after they were spotted kissing prior to news of his split from Mavrakis after nearly 22 years of marriage.
McGregor and Mavrakis, a 51-year-old production designer, share four daughters -- Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk. The actor will next star in the movie Zoe with Rashida Jones and Sea Seydoux.
