Chris Pratt officially files for divorce from Anna Faris

Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has filed for divorce from Mom actress Anna Faris, his wife of eight years.

People magazine said Pratt filed legal documents Friday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split he and his spouse announced during the summer.

TMZ reported Faris filed her response to the petition at the same time, with similar information.

The celebrity news website cited an unnamed source as saying the breakup is "totally amicable" and the former couple, who have a prenuptial agreement, are close to reaching a property settlement.
