'Sweet Valley High' alum Brittany Daniel marries in L.A.

The actress got engaged to boyfriend Adam Touni on Christmas Day in 2016.

July 31 (UPI) -- Sweet Valley High alum Brittany Daniel married her fiancé over the weekend.

The 41-year-old actress tied the knot with Adam Touni at The Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, according to People.

"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection shared by our friends and family on this special day," the couple told the magazine. "We are so grateful to have this kind of support as we start this journey together."

Daniel and Touni said their "I dos" in front of 150 friends and family, including the actress' twin sister, Cynthia Daniel Hauser. Daniel, who wore a custom Trish Peng gown, also shared news of her wedding on Instagram.

"My heart is exploding! Yesterday was the best day of my life when I married my best friend @adamtouni," she wrote Sunday. "#heartwarming #love #celebration #Wedding."

Daniel and Touni got engaged on Christmas Day in 2016 during a trip to San Francisco. The actress celebrated her bachelorette party in Santa Barbara in June with friends by dressing up as superheroes and going on "wine crawls."

"What a beautiful new phase of life to be stepping into. #receiving #gratitude #foreverfriends #bacheloretteweekend #britt2legit," she wrote June 4.

Daniel played Jessica Wakefield on Sweet Valley High, which had a four-season run in the 1990s. She has since portrayed Carmen on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Kelly Pitts on The Game.
