July 26 (UPI) -- Amber Rose says her split from ex-boyfriend Kanye West left her "heartbroken."

The 33-year-old television personality said Tuesday on Complex's Everyday Struggle that she was in a dark place following her breakup with the "Famous" rapper.

"I see this a lot on the internet: Amber's going to hurt him," she said of new boyfriend 21 Savage. "I have been the one that has been heartbroken ... I still have never said anything mean about Kanye. This is after six, seven years of constant bullying from him."

Rose and West have often clashed since their 2010 split after two years of dating. Rose reconciled with West's wife, reality star Kim Kardashian, in 2016 after West told The Breakfast Club he had "to take 30 showers" after dating Rose.

"The only thing I got from him was fame," the television personality said. "I had to just take that [loss]. I had to take that heartbreak on top of it."

"That time was not a great time for me," she confessed. "I'm famous, and I'm broke ... I can't date anyone else. I can't say anything on the Internet because Kanye has such a voice. It's constant scrutiny. If I was going to kill myself, I would have done it during those times."

West married Kardashian in May 2014, while Rose started dating 21 Savage this month. The television personality said in a post July 9 that 21 Savage, a rapper known for the single "Bank Account," is the "perfect" person for her.

"It's pretty amazing waking up every morning feeling love like this," she wrote. "I've cried endlessly and been hurt a lot in my life, I've been abused, talked to like I wasn't [expletive], been gaslighted and Slut shamed by men that I once cared about. So I'm so thankful that God brought this amazing person in my life."
