July 24 (UPI) -- Selena Gomez stepped out with boyfriend The Weeknd on Sunday following her 25th birthday. E! News reported the singer and actress was spotted at brunch with the 27-year-old recording artist, who had flown to be with her in Los Angeles after performing Saturday at Lollapalooza Paris.

Gomez turned 25 on Saturday, and rang in the occasion with friends at an intimate party. She shared photos from the bash on Instagram, including a picture of herself with her two pastel-colored birthday cakes.
"Thank you for all of my bday love. I couldn't be more blessed. A lot of you don't realize how much you mean to me. I. Love. You. --think 25 is going to be epic. xo," the star captioned the snapshot.
Gomez and The Weeknd were first linked in January, and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala in May. The actress later said she went public with The Weeknd because she's happy and uninhibited with the singer.
"I'm genuinely myself," Gomez told On Air with Ryan Seacrest in June. "I just think it's really hard when I would want to spend so much time hiding things. It's too much pressure."
"I'm so happy with my music, my health is most important, my family is most important, but at the same time I just want to be happy. So if that's me just being myself, then I really don't care," she explained.
