Telltale Games announces new seasons of 'Batman,' 'The Walking Dead'

July 19 (UPI) -- Telltale Games has announced a trio of new seasons for some of its most popular titles including Batman, The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.

The interactive adventure game developer detailed the three upcoming sequels in a 2017 summer update video that included a teaser trailer for the second season of Batman titled The Enemy Within that features The Riddler.

"In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman's new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?" reads the description for The Enemy Within.

The first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series titled "Enigma," is set to launch digitally on Aug. 8 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and coming soon to iOS, Android and Mac.

The Walking Dead, meanwhile, will be coming to a close with its upcoming fourth season as main protagonist Clementine's story comes to a close.

Telltale noted that this new season due in 2018, will once again have players taking on the role of Clementine after Season 3 introduced a second lead character in Javier.

Lastly, Telltale also announced that the long-awaited second season to The Wolf Among Us is finally coming in 2018 and will feature the return of Bigby Wolf and Snow White.

Based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series, The Wolf Among Us first debuted in 2013.
