June 14 (UPI) -- Bella Hadid says rumored boyfriend Jordan Barrett is actually "like a brother" to her. The 20-year-old American model dismissed dating rumors Tuesday on Twitter after she was photographed with Barrett inside her New York home this week.

"J is like a brother to me buhhh this just ruined the surprise ... interview w/ @DerekBlasberg coming soon," she wrote to her 783,000 followers.
Paparazzi captured Hadid and Barrett, a 20-year-old Australian model, getting close as they chatted and snapped selfies inside Hadid's apartment Monday. Hadid wore a white tank top and black underwear, while Barrett went shirtless.
"On another note-whoever thinks it's OK to photograph into someones home &private space is straight up sick," Hadid tweeted in response. "Time to move."
The dating rumors follow Hadid's split from Canadian singer The Weeknd in November after nearly two years of dating. The Weeknd has since started dating actress and fellow recording artist Selena Gomez.
"As an outside, you might think I handled it well, but it's always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily," Hadid said of the breakup in an issue of Teen Vogue published in February.
"I'll always respect him, and I'll always love him," she confessed. "Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you've fought so hard to build."
