March 13 (UPI) -- Sharon Stone shared a rare photo with her three sons on her 59th birthday over the weekend. The actress posted a picture with 16-year-old Roan, 11-year-old Laird and 10-year-old Quinn while celebrating the occasion with family and friends.

"Happiest birthday," she captioned the snapshot on Instagram.
Stone, who turned officially turned 59 on Friday, also shared an album of photos from her fête. She followed up Monday by thanking her fans and followers for their well-wishes.
"Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes! Have a great week. #MakeADifference," she wrote.
Stone shares Roan with ex-husband Phil Bronstein, and adopted Laird and Quinn in 2005 and 2006, respectively. She was hospitalized for a stroke in 2001, and told Entertainment Tonight in 2015 that her children inspired her to keep fighting.
"They really look to me and they really depended on me," the star shared. "It was hard, but ultimately it was really those lessons that are always really good and it helped me."
"I'm doing just great, but it takes such a long time to recover," she added. "You not only have to deal with your health and your family, but you also have to start over again once you're well."
Stone is known for such films as Basic Instinct and Casino, and will star in A Little Something for Your Birthday with Famke Janssen. She is also slated for the HBO movie Mosaic, which is directed by Steven Soderbergh.
