March 3 (UPI) -- Film star and history buff Tom Hanks has gifted the White House press corps with a new, high-end coffee maker.

"This is the third time over the last few years that Mr. @tomhanks has sent a brand new espresso machine to the White House press corps," CNN's Jake Tapper tweeted Thursday, along with a photo of the machine -- both in in its box and assembled on a table.

"Keep up the good fight for the truth, justice and the American way," Hanks wrote. "Especially for the Truth part."
