Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Paris Jackson has reportedly broken up with boyfriend Michael Snoddy.

The 18-year-old aspiring actress and only daughter of late singer Michael Jackson recently split from Snoddy, a musician, after less than a year of dating, according to E! News.

Sources told US Weekly Jackson is focused on her career, specifically her upcoming role on the Lee Daniels series Star. Insiders said, however, that the actress and Snoddy may get back together in the future.

"Paris ended things with Michael," a source said. "It might just be a temporary fix until she finds her way back to Michael again."

"It appears that Paris and Michael have parted ways for now, but their future is uncertain. She is doing well, enjoying being on set with Lee Daniels and focusing her energy on the opportunities ahead," another insider added.

Jackson and Snoddy were first linked in spring 2016 following the star's split from Chester Castellaw. Snoddy had accompanied the star to Paris in January, where she reportedly shot a campaign for Chanel.

"Paris is in a very happy place, she is pursuing her creative interests as an 18-year-old woman and feels like this is finally her time," a source told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

Jackson will make her acting debut as a "super-chic" and "intimidating" social media guru on Star, which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. She recently opened up about her past struggles as a teen in the Feb. 9 issue of Rolling Stone.
