The 40-year-old actress admitted this week in an interview with Isla Fisher on her Anna Faris is Unqualified podcast that speculation about Pratt's rumored infidelity caused her to feel "vulnerable" in her marriage.
"There were some tabloid rumors about strain in our relationship," Faris acknowledged. "I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn't want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by tabloid [expletive]."
"I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he's off doing movies and I'm in L.A. raising our child, of course I'm going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would," she confessed.
"It did make me feel ... like even though it's false, is there a grain of [truth]? It made me feel incredibly insecure," the star said.
"I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been a part of my life," she told the magazine. "It's been a little devastating because for us, it's like, 'What the heck?'"
"This has been blindsiding to us," the actress said. "We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging."
Faris and Pratt met on the set of the 2007 movie Take Me Home Tonight, and married in 2009. Lawrence herself said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November that the couple, who share 4-year-old son Jack, are "so cute" together.
