LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott, and Zoe Kravitz have reportedly tested for the lead female role in the upcoming Han solo spin-off movie.

The yet-unnamed film is set to start production in early 2017 with the last of the casting forthcoming -- including the role of Lando Calrissian, though some reports say the studio is eyeing Donald Glover for the part.

The part of young Han Solo went to Alden Ehrenreich, who has appeared in Blue Jasmine, Stoker, Beautiful Creatures, and Hail, Caesar!

Thompson, who starred in Selma and Creed; Scott, who donned the Pink Ranger suit for the upcoming Power Rangers remake; and Zoe Kravitz, who starred in the Divergent Series and X-Men auditioned for the mystery role this week in London.

The film is slated to be released on May 25, 2018.
