Orlando Bloom makes private Instagram account public: 'I caved'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Orlando Bloom has decided to share more with fans by making his formerly private Instagram account open to the public.

The actor's verified Instagram account went public Thursday alongside a new uncaptioned post that simply read "I caved."

Now 103 previously unseen photos and videos including clips from his various trips around the world can be seen. Fans have turned up in droves by following his page. The Pirates of the Caribbean star now has 110,000 followers and counting, up from the few hundred he had previously.

Highlights from Bloom's Instagram include a clip of himself riding a Segway alongside his girlfriend Katy Perry at Burning Man and a comedic video of the 39-year-old poking fun at his nude paddleboarding escapade which dominated headlines back in August.

"When you are chasing down the guy who stole your swimming trunks," Bloom captions the post which features himself running towards the camera as the theme from Rocky plays on.

Also on Thursday, a new trailer for Bloom's upcoming Netflix comedy Easy was released. The series is set to premiere Sept. 22 on the streaming service and also stars Emily Ratajkowski, Malin Akerman, Hannibal Buress, Dave Franco and Marc Maron.
