NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie have agreed to drop the bitter custody suit involving their teenage son Rocco and let Rocco live in London with Ritchie.

"The case is settled and everyone agrees that Rocco's needs changed and he's going to be living with dad," said Peter Bronstein, Ritchie's attorney.

Madonna initiated the suit last year after 16-year-old Rocco refused to return to New York with Madonna during the winter holidays, in spite of a judge's order.

The teen was reportedly tired of traveling with Madonna, having spent several months on her Rebel Heart tour.

"I miss this boy so full of life so full of love!" the singer posted to Instagram in February.

"Rocco is of an age where he cannot be physically compelled on a plane to come back to New York because he doesn't want to," Bronstein said at a hearing in March.

Madonna has not issued a statement regarding the judge's recent ruling.
