NASHVILLE, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Daniel Bryan called out John Cena during the premiere of new Smackdown Live after-show, WWE Talking Smack.

The WWE Network exclusive program according to WWE stars announcer Renee Young and will feature "exclusive interviews" and "expert analysis" following new episodes of Smackdown Live every Tuesday.

"Join Renee Young as she catches up with your favorite SmackDown Superstars after the show to hear their thoughts and opinions on all of the evening's action and excitement. Nothing is off limits when these men and women are Talking Smack!" reads the show's official synopsis.

True to its premise, Bryan, who was selected as the general manager of Smackdown by commissioner Shane McMahon in July, verbally slammed Cena following comments he made to rival AJ Styles ahead of their SummerSlam showdown.

"I was actually kinda taken aback and borderline offended," Bryan said about Cena's speech towards Styles in which the Cenation leader proclaimed he would only ever wrestle in WWE while The Phenomenal One would have no issue competing for another promotion.

According to Bryan, both he and Styles have had to wrestle elsewhere before they got to the WWE and in Bryan's case, was forced to wrestle outside the company because he was fired.

"AJ and I are kinda cut from the same cloth," he continued. "If he gets fired, he has a family to provide for. So are you saying don't go work somewhere else, go work in a garage or something? No, this is what we do, this is what we love to do."

SummerSlam takes place Aug. 21.
