'WWE 2K17': McMahon family join playable roster

NEW YORK, July 27 (UPI) -- The McMahon family is set to enter the digital squared circle as playable characters in publisher 2K Sports upcoming video game, WWE 2K17.

Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon will be joined by his children and current commissioners of Raw and Smackdown Live, Shane and Stephanie McMahon.

"It's a family affair! Catch @VinceMcMahon, @shanemcmahon, and I in #WWE2K17!" Stephanie wrote on Twitter Tuesday alongside fiery images of the McMahons in the style of the game's cover art which features 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar.

As WWE notes, the reveal of Vince, Shane and Stephanie mark the start of a weekly series of roster announcements for 2K17 that begins in August.

So far, NXT stars such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax and Apollo Crews have been confirmed for the game as part of the NXT special edition and retired former world champion Goldberg, who was announced as a playable character for those who pre-order the game.

WWE 2K17 is set to arrive on October 11, 2016 for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
