LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- Former Playstation mascot and icon Crash Bandicoot returned Monday during Sony's E3 2016 press conference.

The remastered trilogy, which will be made from the ground up for the Playstation 4, will feature revamped versions of Crash's first three games, 1996's Crash Bandicoot, 1997's Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and 1998's Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

In addition to the new title, Crash was also announced to be joining Activision's next entry in their best-selling toys-to-life series, Skylanders: Imaginators as a new playable character exclusive to Playstation 4 . A trailer for the title featured Crash displaying his signature spin-attack move and use of wooden crates.

Skylanders: Imaginators launches this October while the new remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy was given no release window.
