'Batman: Return to Arkham' remaster collection announced

BURBANK, Calif., May 18 (UPI) -- Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced Batman: Return to Arkham, a remastered collection of top-selling Batman video games.

The title, which will include commercial and critical hits Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, was revealed Wednesday with a new trailer featuring the package's updated graphics.

According to IGN, remaster studio Virtuos who is handling the collection have upgraded the games to use Unreal Engine 4 in order to implement "improved graphics, as well as upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders."

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, originally released in 2009 and 2011, has players take on the role of Batman as he deals with a collection of his most dangerous foes including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin, Scarecrow and many more.

Batman: Return to Arkham is set for release on July 29 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
