'Casablanca' actress Madeleine Lebeau dies at 92

ESTEPONA, Spain, May 15 (UPI) -- French actress Madeleine Lebeau, who played Rick's jilted love interest Yvonne in the 1942 film classic Casablanca, has died at the age of 92.

Her stepson -- documentary filmmaker and environmentalist Carlo Alberto Pinelli -- told The Hollywood Reporter Saturday Lebeau died May 1 in Estepona, Spain after breaking her thigh bone.

The entertainment industry trade newspaper said she is believed to have been the last surviving, credited cast member of the movie, which starred Humphrey Bogart as Rick and Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa. Lebeau's husband at the time -- Marcel Dalio -- played the croupier Emil in Casablanca.

Lebeau's other film credits include 8 1/2, Hold Back the Dawn, Gentleman Jim, Paris After Dark, Music for Millions, The Royalists, Cage of Gold, Sins of Madeleine and La Parisienne.

Lebeau and Dalio divorced in 1942. She was married to screenwriter Tullio Pinelli from 1988 until his death in 2009 at the age 100.
