Fishel met Belusko at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, Calif., where she offered to tutor him in math. The couple were together for several years before marrying in Los Angeles in October 2013.

"I was hesitant because he's seven years younger," Fishel told People magazine shortly after her wedding. "But he's so mature. I just want to keep calling him 'husband.' It's awesome. We're on the same team forever."

The Girl Meets World star revealed what initially attracted her to Belusko in an interview with Maxim the same year. The actress was drawn in by her husband-to-be's Mortal Kombat tattoo on his calf.

"I'm not a huge tattoo person, but I loved it," she confessed. "I actually have two of my own, which I would get laser-removed, but I'm afraid they'll look weird. I have one on the back of my neck and I have a tramp stamp."

Fishel is best known for playing Topanga Lawrence-Matthews on Boy Meets World and its sequel series, Girl Meets World. The spin-off premiered on the Disney Channel in 2014 and will return for a third season on June 3.
