LONDON, April 6 (UPI) -- Adele has denied recent rumors that actress Rebel Wilson would be portraying the singer in an upcoming biopic.

"You don't get to make a film without my [expletive] permission. Shut up. There's no film," Adele told a roaring crowd during a concert Monday at London's O2 arena, also denying the existence of a potential film.

"Just because I'm plus-sized doesn't mean she's playing me," she continued.

The U.K.'s Daily Star tabloid started the rumors after they published a report in which an unnamed source explained that Wilson wanted to take on the role to "prove she can cut it as a serious actress."

The Pitch Perfect star took to Twitter Tuesday following Adele's comments to further deny the accusations. "I have never been offered to play Adele in a biopic...completely made up tabloid story with fictitious unnamed source! Love Adele though X," Wilson wrote.

Adele last made headlines in March when she gave an emotional performance of her song "Make You Feel My Love" which was followed by an angry speech blasting the terrorists who attacked an airport and metro station in Brussels.
