CHICAGO, April 1 (UPI) -- British actor Tom Hiddleston exercised his charm and improvisation skills during a surprise weather report for a local Chicago news station.

The Avengers and Thor: Ragnarok actor, who plays villain Loki in the Marvel films, explained turbulent weather Thursday for the Chicago 32 television station, blaming Thor's famous hammer for a storm.

"My brother from another mother has been misbehaving," Hiddleston said, referencing Loki's brother Thor in the films. "The god of thunder has brought his skill-set to bear on the local weather."

"There's a huge storm front coming in, and all that means is Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and smashed it on the surface of the sky and it's going to rain a hell of a lot," he said. "So, good luck with that."

Hiddleston was reportedly in Chicago to promote his latest project, the biopic I Saw The Light, about country singer Hank Williams.
