LOS ANGELES, April 1 (UPI) -- Drew Barrymore got a new tattoo honoring daughters Olive and Frankie on Thursday. The 41-year-old actress had her daughters' names tattooed on her right wrist and shared a photo of the new ink on Instagram.
"Getting a a great little lifetime note on my arm," she captioned the picture.
Barrymore shares Olive and Frankie with husband Will Kopelman, whom she married in 2012. The couple welcomed Olive the same year and Frankie followed in 2014.
"You have to be lightning-fast in your responses to things," she said of parenting to InStyle in July. "You always have to be inventive and creative. It's like constantly playing mental chess on how to get something done in that moment, and I hope I'm doing it as gracefully as possible."
"It's so amazing -- after your kid is crying for 12 hours, you'll start laughing and you love them even more," she shared. "But the next day, the stupidest thing will throw you. Everything surprises you constantly."
Barrymore announced she will act "less and less" to focus on motherhood in a 2014 interview. The actress grew up a child star and explained she wants to raise her daughters "the exact opposite" of her "untraditional upbringing."
"It's hard to be present when you wake up before them and come home after they've gone to bed," she admitted. "That's just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life."
Barrymore last appeared in Miss You Already with Toni Collette. She is also slated for the new Netflix comedy Santa Clarita Diet with Timothy Olyphant.
