'American Horror Story' house for rent on Airbnb for $1,450 a night

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- The California mansion where Season 1 of American Horror Story was shot is for rent via Airbnb for $1,450 a night.

The estate was referred to on the supernatural show as Murder House because of the numerous slayings that occurred there.

Variety reported the nine-bedroom house -- which has also appeared on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files -- can accommodate 16 people.

Built in 1908, it is a cultural and historical landmark.
