LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Gwen Stefani made history by recording the first ever live music video for "Make Me Like You" on television during the 58th annual Grammy Awards. The singer appeared onscreen Monday night during a commercial break in a live broadcast sponsored by Target, where a special edition of her upcoming album This is What the Truth Feels Like, will be sold.

The new video featured Stefani, 46, undergoing several speedy wardrobe changes, taking part in colorful, perfectly choreographed ensembles and ultimately tricking her audience into thinking she tripped and fell during the clip's final segment involving roller blades.
Directed by Sophie Muller, the video's risky move reportedly involved a stunt-double, who fell on purpose. Moments after the choreographed slip-up, the real Stefani appeared in a blossoming red gown to perform the final hook.
After Stefani's live music video debut, boyfriend and Voice coach Blake Shelton took to social media to promote his girl's new song.
"You can probably understand the multiple reasons why I just bought this...I hope you do to!!!" Shelton wrote alongside a screenshot of his phone, which shows the singer downloading Stefani's latest single.

The couple first confirmed their relationship after respective divorces in November of last year.
