Dustin Diamond begins four-month jail sentence in Wisconsin

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Former television actor Dustin Diamond began his four-month jail sentence in Wisconsin Friday night.

TMZ confirmed the one-time Saved By the Bell cast member has checked into the Ozaukee County Jail.

After his release, the 39-year-old actor will be placed on probation for 15 months.

Diamond was found guilty in May of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct with a concealed weapon. He was cleared of felony reckless endangerment charges.

The actor was accused of stabbing Casey Smet during an altercation involving Diamond's fiancée Amanda Schutz in December 2014.
