WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to help a baby nephew of one her dancers who has cancer.

Swift made the donation, confirmed by the baby's family, through a GoFundMe page for 13-month-old Ayden. Along with the donation, the "Wildest Dreams" singer wrote a short message to the infant.

"Baby Ayden, I'm lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour," she wrote on the donation page. "All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way."

Swift's dancer, Kim "Toshi" Davidson, first made his nephew's battle known on Instagram Tuesday, revealing it is still unknown why type of cancer the baby has. "Keep him in your prayers please," he wrote alongside a photo of himself and the child. "If you want to donate...all I ask is for you to pray for him."

Since the page was created on Sept. 29, 51 people including the famous pop star have donated to baby Ayden's cause, raising a total of $53, 710. Ayden's mother, Lindsey Licari, wrote a thank you note on the page.

"I want to take a moment and thank everyone for all your contributions, prayers, and thoughtful words," she wrote. "Taylor you have taken an enormous weight off my shoulders by allowing me to walk this journey with my son and be his protector...I will be forever grateful to Taylor and each and every person who made a contribution to Ayden's fight."

According to the GoFundMe page, Licari lost her job because she needed to be at the hospital with her son.

This isn't the first time Swift has donated a large sum of money to help people. As Swift also helps her mother fight cancer, the singer in July donated $50,000 to a young girl also diagnosed with the disease.

In June, the singer donated the same amount to a children's hospital in Philadelphia and in January helped a fan pay off her student debt.
