Amy Duggar still 'furious' with cousin Josh Duggar

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Amy Duggar isn't happy with her disgraced cousin, Josh Duggar.

The aspiring country singer said she is angry with her 27-year-old relative, telling People magazine she and new husband Dillon King are "still shocked and furious to the extreme."

Josh Duggar, who entered a rehab facility after admitting to a pornography addiction and being unfaithful to his wife, Anna Duggar, in August, did not attend Amy Duggar and King's wedding Sunday.

"Let's let him be gone," she said. "Let's let him get as much help as possible."

Anna Duggar was present at the ceremony, and the new bride presented the beleaguered wife with a special gift.

News of Josh Duggar's infidelity broke just three months after his sex abuse scandal. The reality star confessed in May to molesting five girls, including sisters Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar, as a teen, and the family's TLC series, 19 Kids & Counting, was subsequently canceled.

Josh Duggar attended an Institute in Basic Life Principles-operated facility as a teen after the abuse was discovered. The organization's founder, Bill Gothard, who resigned amid his own sex scandal last year, told the Chicago Tribune the family "did the right things" in an interview this week.

"They did maybe even more than was expected," he said. "They certainly cannot be faulted in what they tried to do to correct the problem. The problem was corrected ... The fact that he became an outstanding young man would indicate that kind of success."

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar appeared on a TLC special about sex abuse at the end of August. Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar married in September 2008 and share four children: 5-year-old Mackynzie, 4-year-old Michael, 2-year-old Marcus and 2-month-old Meredith.
