BENTONVILLE, Ark., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Anna Duggar attended in-law Amy Duggar's wedding solo earlier this week, and for her time, the bride thanked the scandal-ridden wife with a gift.

Amy tells People she left an envelope on both Anna and her aunt Michelle's chairs at the ceremony. "I gave Aunt Michelle a gift certificate for her favorite restaurant so she and uncle Jim Bob can have a really sweet date night," she told the magazine. "And I felt like Anna needed to be pampered so I got her a mani-pedi certificate to a nail salon. I feel like she needs that."

"[Anna and Aunt Michelle have] been through so much and it means the world to me that they want to come to my wedding even through their whole world is turned upside down right now," she said.

Anna's husband, disgraced reality star Josh Duggar, admitted himself into a faith-based rehab facility after admitting to repeatedly cheating on his wife via Ashley Madison and other avenues.

"I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust," Josh said in a statement in August.

"The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings. As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example."
