CASPER, Ohio, May 21 (UPI) -- A man suffering from diabetic shock behind the wheel was saved Saturday after famous hip-hop artist Layzie Bone stopped to be of assistance.

Steven "Layzie Bone" Howse, rapper and CEO of Grammy-Award winning, multi-platinum selling collective Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, was traveling with his manager Michael "Tony B." Bernardi to Ohio when they noticed an erratic driver ahead of them on the roadway.

"He went from one side of the road to the other side of the road, left, right, left, right and a quarter mile up, oncoming traffic was coming," he told KCWY news, "so you know we were screaming, we were scared for him."

The impaired driver's car eventually spun to a stop, but not before coming close to causing multiple accidents between the rapper's car and others. The artists and others pulled over to check on the 24-year-old driver.

"We ran over to him, trying to get his name, looking if there was any alcoholic beverages or anything," Howse said, "but he was delirious and you could tell that he wasn't in his right state of mind."

Once they determined that the man was diabetic -- not drunk -- the rapper rushed to retrieve much-needed sugar.

In an Instagram post, the rapper thanked an RV-ing couple for providing fruit and chocolate, which he then fed to the victim.

Luckily, an EMS worker driving behind the Howse and Bernardi apparently also stopped to assist.

Layzie Bone told KTWO News Sunday: "I'm not doing this interview to be no type of hero like they put it, I'm not that person. I genuinely care about people."
