Jaden Smith wears Batman outfit to prom

LOS ANGELES, May 18 (UPI) -- Jaden Smith wore an unusual outfit to a high school prom over the weekend.

The 16-year-old actor sported the white Batman costume he wore to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding in May 2014. The ensemble consisted of a full bodysuit with armor detail and a cape, and the star later added a mask.

Smith accompanied aspiring singer and friend Mecca Kalani to the event. The teenager shared several photos of herself with the actor on Instagram, in addition to other pictures posted by friends and family.

Smith is the eldest child of actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. He is known for starring with Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness and After Earth, and recently praised his famous dad in new single "Offering."

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith married in 1997, and are also parents to 14-year-old daughter Willow Smith. The actor was previously wed to Sheree Zampino from 1992 to 1995, and shares 22-year-old son Willard "Trey" Smith with his ex.
