LONDON, May 6 (UPI) -- Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson exchanged words Wednesday on Twitter.

The 22-year-singer slammed his 23-year-old former One Direction bandmate after Tomlinson traded insults with Malik's new collaborator, DJ and producer Naughty Boy, on Twitter.

"@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?" Malik tweeted after Tomlinson suggested Naughty Boy is piggybacking on the singer's solo career.

Tomlinson and Naughty Boy continued to spar back and forth, with the latter boasting about his work with Emeli Sande and Sam Smith, and the former sarcastically humble bragging that he and One Direction have "done alright in terms of sales."
