Ireland Baldwin split from Angel Haze before entering rehab

LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- Ireland Baldwin reportedly broke up with girlfriend Angel Haze before entering rehab.

The 19-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger checked into a facility for "emotional trauma" issues earlier this week. Baldwin and Haze have been linked since May 2014, with the latter later confirming their relationship to The Independent by saying, "We [expletive] and friends don't [expletive]."

"This was not the reason Ireland entered a multi-treatment facility," a source told Us Weekly magazine of the split. "She entered due to a variety of pressures in her life. Ireland is being pro-active, doing really well, and being positive about life."

Haze subsequently shared a number of cryptic tweets, including, "the easiest part is leaving. the hardest is wondering how you'll ever come back," and "still in love with u. only u. forever." Baldwin, meanwhile, defended her choice to seek treatment on the social media site Wednesday.

"This is the last thing I'm going to say about everything that's been going on..." she wrote. "Both of my parents, step mom, carmen, and friends were all there for me at all times. Little do you know... We've never left each other's sides."

Baldwin underwent an emergency appendectomy a week before entering Soba Recovery Center in Malibu. The teenager is a burgeoning model who has posed for W and Vanity Fair, and made her acting debut in Basinger's film Grudge Match in 2013.
