LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- Fresh off his Comedy Central roast, Justin Bieber is back in the studio working on a new album, and according to the singer his beliebers can expect to hear many tunes inspired by his relationship with Selena Gomez.

"It was a long relationship that created heartbreak and created happiness and a lot of different emotions that I wanted to write about. There's a lot of that on this album," he told host Ryan Seacreat adding that there wouldn't be a song in response to his ex's track "The Heart Wants What It Wants."

While the Canadian pop star has not yet announced any details about the album, he did say he has been working with producer Kanye West, who according to Bieber "pulls something out of you that other people don't."

"He just pushes you," he said. "He definitely wants it to be my way and my direction and he doesn't want to steal what I want. That's why artists like to go to him."
