A working woman, a hockey mom, she was gutsy and fearless," Saturday's message from the news team said. "We here at Eyewitness News are still in shock and we're trying to cope with the loss of someone we loved and valued."

The Cleveland native started covering news for WABC in 2001.

She is survived by her husband Todd and their sons Davis and Evan.
