LOS ANGELES, March 8 (UPI) -- Film star Harrison Ford remained hospitalized Sunday, continuing treatment for the injuries he sustained when the small plane he was piloting crashed on a golf course Thursday.

ABC News confirmed the 72-year-old Star Wars and Indiana Jones actor has not yet been cleared to go home.

Ford reportedly suffered a gash to the head when his aircraft experienced engine failure and plummeted to the ground in Venice, Calif. His publicist has described his injuries as non-life-threatening, while his son Ben Ford said Thursday night he was "battered, but OK." The exact nature of his other wounds has not been disclosed.

"We want thank you all for your concern. Dad has the best care possible, on the mend and of strong mind body & spirit," Ford's son tweeted Saturday night.
