PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Nicki Minaj announced two members of her team were attacked in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

"Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly," she wrote on Twitter. "One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour."

Pickett, 29, and Parker, 27, were outside CHE Bar & Grill when they were stabbed by an unknown suspect early Wednesday morning. Police believe an argument started inside the establishment and culminated with the attack on the street.

The assailant was last seen wearing a black jacket, and is described as having a thin build and full beard. He fled the scene in a grey Buick LeSabre, and law officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Minaj released her third studio album, The Pinkprint, in December 2014, and will kick off an accompanying tour March 16 in Stockholm, Sweden. Trey Songz and Meek Mill, who hails from Philadelphia, are also expected to perform.
