LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's daughter is not named Violet after all.

Reports surfaced early in January that Lively, 27, had given birth to a daughter sometime in December and named her Violet, but while speaking to the USA Today about his new film The Voices, the new dad set the record straight on rumors about his newborn child.

"No that's not the name," said the actor. "I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from."

While Reynolds wouldn't give any other details about his 6-week-old daughter, he did admit that fatherhood was tiring.

"It's still so new that it's hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to to Sundance this last week," said the star. "I was more excited to get a good night sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me."

According to USA Today, Reynolds and Lively have decided to care for the child themselves and wake up with her every 45 minutes.

"I don't sleep very much. It's great. It's wonderful," he said. "But my brain in everywhere."

Reynold's The Voices will be released in theaters on Feb. 6
