Kanye West frowns in fans' Super Bowl selfies

GLENDALE, Calif., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Kanye West's notorious scowl was on display at the Super Bowl on Sunday night, when several fans approached him for selfies.

In one snap, Instagram user Ben Pitasky and a friend posed next to West, who was seated in a private box with wife Kim Kardashian.

But West refused to mug for the camera.

"Kanye loves the Hawks and being bothered," Pitasky captioned the photo, which went viral on Twitter.

West was also part of another fan's Super Bowl selfie. He looked mildly into the camera for Instagram user kingeorge12, who wrote: "Selfie with Kim & Kanye #SB49 @kimkardashian."

The photos inspired the Twitter hashtag #kanyeface, an expression the 37-year-old rapper adopted for his post-Super Bowl Waffle House photo with Kardashian, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
