Rihanna shares photo of her sparkly Christmas tree

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Rihanna took to Instagram to share a photo of her unconventional Christmas tree.

The 26-year-old "Diamonds" singer posted a picture of her "black ice" holiday decoration Tuesday. The tree stands over six feet tall, and is made up of a series of pyramids covered in sparkling fabric.

Rihanna was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in 1988, and a stocking with her given name sits under the tree. The singer also shared a snapshot of herself and a friend in "smurfette couture" next to the decoration.

Rihanna debuted her seventh studio album, Unapologetic, in November 2012. She has a new record, R8, in the works for 2015, and previewed single "Kiss It Better" earlier this month. The singer recently appeared as the Moon Goddess in a Will Gluck remake of Annie.
