NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Martin Freeman reprised his The Hobbit role as Bilbo Baggins in The Office Saturday for a hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch.

The 43-year-old actor played Tim Canterbury in the BBC's version of The Office and this weekend he went back to Wernham-Hogg as a hobbit.

"I went on a quest to save Middle Earth and became a bit of a hero, I did the noble thing and returned loads of treasure," Freeman says in the beginning of the sketch. "So now the brave Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins works at a paper company."

The skit also features a Ricky Gervais-like Gandalf, the general manager, Tauriel as a receptionist and Gollum as a distraught paper salesman.

Freeman will reprise his role as Bilbo Baggins in the last installment of director Peter Jackson The Hobbit series, The Battle of Five Armies. The film premiered in Los Angeles on Dec. 9 and will be released in theaters Wednesday.
